CE Marking of structural steelwork became a legal requirement in Ireland on 1 st July 2014.
Since July 2014 Structural Steelwork and aluminium must carry CE marking to demonstrate that they comply with EN 1090-1:2009 +A1:2011 Execution of Steel Structures and Aluminium Structures – Part 1: Requirements for conformity assessment of structural components, which involves a number of steps that culminate in certification by a third party, known as a notified inspection body (NB). The NSAI are the only notified inspection body in Ireland.

Allen Engineering & Manufacturing Services Ltd has been certified by the NSAI to be in compliance with the requirements of I.S. EN1090-1:2009+A1:2011 for CE marking of Structural Steel up to Execution Class 2 (EXC 2) which covers the fabrication of all farm buildings and most other structural steel used in Ireland and the UK.
